Welcome to Plus Ultra – we are watch-enthusiasts, -collectors and -traders from the bottom of our hearts! We are focusing on watches that may surprise you and which you eventually have never seen before -- no, not because of a red printed small number on a usual dial in a usual watch, but the watch as a whole, as an object of art. It is probably fair to say, we are a source of inspiration for some parts of the industry and we are not shy to do things off the mainstream.

We are dedicated to the beautiful things and vintage watches, especially – yes, for sure you heard that sometimes this week, already. But this time it's different: We are the outsiders in the scene. We are dedicated to watches, that appear unusual, that are considered out-of-time; watches which are usually not in the center of attention; although they would deserve it; watches which are an especially endangered species: precious metal watches from the heydays of watchmaking and -designing, namely the era from 60s to late 80s. Preferably with integrated bracelets that alone contain more craftsmanship and art than most modern machine made watches and form a un-paralleled unity with the case. We love these watches, we care for them and we carry them over time -- Plus Ultra. When you have something that you don't want to or can not carry on, please let us know. We are interested.

Besides our love for mechanic timepieces, we are also enthusiastic for early electronic watches -- inventions that bridge both spheres: from mechanics to electronics, simply transcendental. Please see our blog for numerous articles regarding tuningfork-, quartz- and electric-movments.

Besides trading in watches we like, we also advise on such watches off the beaten path, consult aficionados and under some circumstances manage collections. We always look out for unusual and exceptional pieces and we create and manage portfolios of watches as an un-correlated asset class for investors -- please let us know your goals, and we will let you know what makes sense for both of us.

Please see our philosophy for details, to understand what drives us and what touches our heart.
