Piaget Hobnail-Tank: Guilloche / Clous-de-Paris

- Time (Hour, Minute)
WHY WE LOVE IT? Because it is a high quality tank all made by Piaget -- yes, when (1967) Cartier asked here and there to buy a movement (JLC, IWC or anyone else) and to have someone making a watch-case for the jeweler, then Piaget was making things by their own: case, movement (cal9P), dial and even the buckle and the strap. And they were quite good in doing so: outstanding quality.
Guilloche-Tank made by Piaget in 1967 according to our research and notes. The dial and case is enhanced by an impressive engine-turned Clous-de-Paris decoration. The manual cal9P was serviced right now and runs not only precise but also reliable.
The dial has some signs of oxidation (darker coloured spots) but seems to be untouched, and shows no physical dents or damages.
The crystal is also flawless and without issues.
The 18K case is connected by a dark-green custom-made ostrich-leather strap to the original 18K-buckle.
