Centennial Commemorative Tank: Emperador
Piaget Ribbed Tank: 100th Anniversary Emperador, Gadroons
CHF 4,000
WHY WE LOVE IT? The watch was made in 1973 for the 1974-Centenary of Piaget; it is one of the first Piaget using the Gadroons, that have their origin in the 1970s three-stepped Beta21 ("Rectangle a l'Ancienne" & "Black Tie") and later on made the Piaget Polo one of the most characteristic watches -- until today; and even more: it is a beautiful, thin and versatile tank-shaped watch with a story.
The watch is in good and authentic, all original condition: the rare tank-variant of a watch that usually is available on a gold-bracelet. The ref91310 is by design on a leather strap. It comes with its original 18K Piaget-buckle and box. The manual cal9P was serviced, but the 18K-case is left with its minor signs of time and was not polished.
