Gold & Aventurine Omega MegaQuartz 2.4MHz, Rare
Omega Constellation Gold MegaQuartz cal1510 2.4MHz, Stardust Aventurine Dial, Rare
- Time (Hour, Minute, Central Second)
Caliber 1510 -- first generation 2.4MHz quartz. Even after more than 40 years this movement is one of the most precise ever made and this watch proves it. Even today its precision beats almost any other quartz watch out there, not to speak about any mechanical watch.
But there is much more to this Omega icon than the legendary movement. It is a heavy solid 18K gold watch in rectangular shape and it is a rare one: only 200 were made in the 1970s. And I think it is fair to state, there are not even 100 in such a condition, we can offer here.
Furthermore, below the flawless sapphire glass is the sought-after aventurine stone dial -- Stardust.
The case is in very good condition, but shows some signs of use and wear here and there -- please see the magnified photos. However, it appears to be unpolished. The Extract from the Omega Archives dates this watch to 1975, 29th of January -- 46 years old now -- and initially sold in Switzerland.
We deliver this rare horological relevance with the black Omega leather strap but as well with a custom made and designed midnight-blue / blauschwarz Pilot-style alligator leather strap and the Omega Archive Excerpt.
