Dated to the late 1920s according to our books -- a child of the roaring twenties: the IWC Calatrava Flying Saucer in 18K yellowgold housing the fabulous and exceptionally rare IWC cal86.
The special formed wire-lugs allow the use of a NATO-style strap and we followed this call of the object: The custom made strap is a single piece and makes the rather small (31mm) 18K watch-case sit majestically on the wrist: trend-setting.
The Art-Deco numerals on the developed / aged dial are as beautiful as the overall excellent preserved case.
The manual cal86 was serviced right now and runs precise and flawless: mesmerizing small second.
A super-rare witness of the roaring 1920s.
