EmailWHY WE LOVE IT? IWC invested heavily in the tuningfork-technology, assuming that quartz will be just a small luxury-segment because of its high costs in the early 1970s... this is an horological artefact reminding of this prediction-error.
Very good and beautiful preserved condition of this iconic 1970s IWC Electronic: Humming at 300Hz in a extra-hardened metal-alloy case. Super-hard and scratch resistant with around 1'000 Vickers hardness and back-then in 1974 one of the most expensive tuning-fork IWCs, priced at around CHF1'000.
The case edges are clear and sharp. On the case back there are some very usual issues with the acier inoxydable durci, as the metal alloy was called by IWC.
