EmailWHY WE LOVE IT? Because it is a timeless artefact of Swiss innovation; one of the most beautiful and one of the rarest Beta21 (1st Swiss quartzwatch) and a joy to wear and feel and hear. Also, it is a IWC Ingenieur++: completely amagnetic; highly shock-resistant; and super-precise even without millimetre-paper-dial;
The watch is in beautiful preserved condition. It was serviced right now and is running precise and reliable. It is one of the first Beta21 and still has its original electronic module and not a later service-replacement. The quartz is swinging at 8'192Hz and the motor hums audible at 256Hz and makes the seconds-hand sweep gently & steady with 256 steps per second. And the question remains the same since decades:
Time is flying or flowing? For sure it is electronic and precise: Beta21.
