WHY WE LOVE IT: Because it was made exactly 40y ago by Piaget using the rare record-thin caliber 25P and it could be named a #horologicalMilestone with its 2.08mm-thin automatic.
We all know the Cartier Jumbo Tank with the strange bubble-back to cover the rotor of the ETA-automatic movement. A bit quirky, sure but it has its merits, because of being significantly bigger than the Tank Normale. Now, Piaget used the worldrecord-thin cal25P to make exactly 123 pieces of the Curved Jumbo Tank with exact same dimensions -- just thinner & curved -- between 1984 and 1987. The case was made by Piaget (Ponti Gennari) and it hugs the wrist with its slightly curved design.
