Scratchproof Rare Seamaster

Omega Seamaster Cermet / Black Tulip, Ceramic 1982

Sold

One of the most expensive and thus rarest vintage Omega Seamaster -- the Black Tulip / Cermet (Ceramic Metallic). Much lighter than the heavy tungsten carbide used in the 1970s by Rado, IWC, Omega etc and much harder than tungsten carbide (1'100 vs 2'000 Vickers hardness): the super-scratch proof Omega Seamaster made in significantly less than 1'000 examples between 1982 and 1984 on special customer request.
