Scratchproof Ceramic Omega Seamaster

Omega Seamaster Cermet aka Black Tulip, Ceramic: Factory-Serviced

Sold

One of the most expensive and thus rarest vintage Omega Seamaster -- the Black Tulip / Cermet (Ceramic Metallic). Much lighter than the heavy tungsten carbide used in the 1970s by Rado, IWC, Omega etc and much harder than tungsten carbide (1'100 vs 2'000 Vickers hardness): the super-scratch proof Omega Seamaster made in significantly less than 1'000 examples between 1982 and 1984.

This example was serviced by Omega in 2023 and thus has a guarantee by the factory until 2025. However, the dial is not in perfect conditon and shows some signs of time and oxidation and the bracelet has some signs of use and time as well.

During the servicing-process the movement was fully serviced, the glass and hands were changed to new.
