Important Vacheron Royal: Linen-Dial over Ruby-Rolls K1072
Vacheron Constantin Important Royal Chrono: Batmans Brother, Rare Ruby-Rollers K1072

WHY WE LOVE IT? Because it is a Chronometer-Royal (without the over-sized dialprint) and from the same era with the same movement as the popular and iconic VC Batman ref6694. And why is this VC Chronometre Royal ref7942 almost unknown in comparison to the VC "Batman"? Because it is much rarer than the popular hero -- Batmans unknown brother. And it is obviously the variant of the VC Chronometer Royal that was made in the lowest quantities at all: in whitegold plus linendial it comes close to a unicorn.
Important and sophisticated VC-automatic using the characteristic caliber K1072 in rare whitegold-variant with a slightly hued patinae-linen-dial. The base cal1070 was introduced in 1959 and this K1072 is the date-variant: probably the most characteristic automatic-movement at all with its four ruby-rollers near the center of the rotor.
Guilloche-finished solid gold rotor-weight, exceptionally decorated and refined, stamped with the Geneva-seal. And advertised by VC as Chronometer (Chronometre) Royal.
Presented with its box and the VC certificate of archive that confirms case- & movement-numbers and production date of 1971.
