Rare & Important: Unworn 1st Whitegold Onyx-Protocole

Piaget Onyx Protocole: NOS Stone & 1st & Important

Sold

WHY WE LOVE IT: Because it is the most contrasting dial to a case (whitegold vs Onyx) and its the first Protocole ever and on top in unworn condition. Important Piaget!

This is not only the best-condition Piaget Protocole we have ever seen, but also the earliest -- we can date it pretty precise to late 1972. And this is a surprise... even to us as fans of the brand and probably the most profound researchers of its history. We were sure the Protocole is a child of the late 1970s, gaining popularity in the '80s but obviously its first examples were made in 1972 already. Wow!

Ah, and besides this the watch is unworn, of course unpolished and comes with its original unused Piaget-strap & 18K whitegold-buckle. The dial is deep-dark and reflective / mirroring and there is simply no bigger contrast between dial and case possible than in the whitegold-Onyx-combination.

Even more: There are some noteworthy and interesting aspects to this watch that may surprise the one or the other and throw some new light on the brands rich history.
