Art + Jewelery + Watch = Piaget Ladies Bracelet Gem

Piaget 1980s Ladies Beauty Housing the Legend: 20P / 1200 Lassale

Sold

A Piaget ladies bracelet watch made in 1983 according to Piaget Archives -- and sold for a whopping USD 20'000 back then, so something like +50K in todays USD. Yesss! And the reason was the beautiful crafted jewelry-watch as well as the ultra-ultra-thin manual caliber 20P aka 1200 Lassale. It is merely 1.2mm in height and still holds this record of being the thinnest mechanical caliber up to today -- developed in the late 1970s! Double check: This is not a quartz movement.

And this makes this watch a gem: inside & outside and secures its seat in the horological hall of fame.

The watch wears fantastic and very balanced and is equally a timepiece and a fine-art jewelry. Due to the extra-flat manual Piaget 20P caliber, the watch is of approximately the same height as is the bracelet -- less than 3.5mm, all inclusive: case back, manual winding mechanical movement, dial, hands and glass and a little bit of air in between. Wow, this is Piaget for Ladies!

The masterpiece seems to be like out of Piagets manufacture right now, because it is! Created in 1983, it was recently serviced by their masters in La-Cote-Aux-Fees, Switzerland. Technically it is in like new condition and optically in very good, altough it was explicitly NOT polished to keep the original look and sharp edges. The masterpiece comes with the service-box and -papers and the 2-year-Piaget warranty, too.
