Today 43y ago, on Nov 22nd 1982 our currently offered Patek ref3770 "Nautillipse" (Nautilus X Ellipse by Gerald Genta) was sold according to the Excerpt of the Patek-Archive. This is one of approx 100 made in steel-gold (bicolor). The other 200 were made in steel and the full gold-examples can probably be counted on two hands.
Of these 100 there are probably far less than 50 left in acceptable condition and with original bracelet -- the other 50 - 70 being lost or with a replacement ref3800-bracelet. This is the reason you dont see them at all as often as a steel-ref3770, not as often as a ordinary ref3800 or even a ref3700. And in great and all-original condition it is a really rare bird.
