Rare Whitegold Vacheron w/ Centre-Second
Vacheron Constantin Rare & Important Patrimony / Calatrava: Bumper Auto cal477

- Time (Hour, Minute, Central Second)
WHY WE LOVE IT: "exceedingly rare" (Phillips Auctions); the cal477 was the first automatic-movement used by Vacheron and we have just seen one another in a 18K-whitegold case before -- the rarity is obvious and the relevance as being the 1st VC-Auto, also.
The first and important automatic Vacheron, 1951: a bumper-automatic in rare whitegold execution: We had several of these very important VCs but so far all in yellow- or pinkgold. And thats no surprise when we take into account that no more than 15% of the overall output was made in whitegold in the 1950s. To our knowledge there surfaced just another one in whitegold in the last >10y. A 1953-made one sold by sold by Phillips Auction in 2015. So a very important & "exceedingly rare" (as Phillips puts it) Vacheron.
Whats even more remarkable: it comes in excellent condition, with Geneva gold-hallmarks deep and visible below the lugs, the dial in almost immaculate condition and the cal477 serviced right now.
