Nautilus X Ellipse: Gentas Patek Nautillipse

Patek Philippe Nautilus X Ellipse: Nautillipse, Rare TwoTone Genta, Factory-Serviced

WHY WE LOVE IT? The Nautillipse is not only one of the rarest vintage Ellipse-Pateks but also the rarest vintage Nautilus. It was guaranteed designed by Gerald Genta (the 2nd only Patek next to the ref3700) and it is obviously the most wearable, the most interesting and the most exalted Patek that makes any ref1518 look a bit over-complicated and corny.

Yes, the Jumbo Nautilus ref3700 was in the store for some months already but a non-seller around 1980. Much different than the hottest Patek at that time: the Ellipse. And so Patek asked the designer of it (Genta) what could be used as a bridge-product to lead the customers to the sporty steel character -- his answer was the Nautilus X Ellipse: Nautillipse. From there it was produced just for two years in approx 300 pieces in total and was a overlooked masterpiece for decades -- until now: there is currently probably no hotter vintage Patek than that.

This stunning example appears to be in like-new condition and was excellently serviced by the artisans at Patek Phillipe right now (via Chronometrie Beyer, Zurich), coming with a full warranty by Patek until 2027. Indeed, one can say this or that about Patek and we are not shy to critic but their service is top-notch in every aspect and a Nautillipse never looked so good like this monochrome example.

Delivered with box (inner & outer cardboard-box), service-pouch and service-papers, custom-made grey Ostrich-strap and original (unworn) black Patek Alligator-strap with original Patek Ellipse-buckle (made of 18K-whitegold).
