WHY WE LOVE IT? It is one of JLCs most important watches in the 2nd half of the 20th century -- their early and very reliable working quartzwatch, developed with Girard Perregaux. And besides that: it comes in a really beautiful and heavy 18K-case in a timeless design and wonderful Jumbo-size of 38mm -- all solid gold and heavy.

1972 JLC MasterQuartz with original the special and rare blue-brown dial, in 18K yellow gold (rare) & unpolished. The horological important Jaeger LeCoultre in the high-end specification, delivering a completely different experience (optic and haptic, not to mention importance and rarity) than any steel or steel-goldplated version.

The GP cal350 / JLC cal352 is a horological milestone: the first quartzmovement with the today-standard rate of 32'768Hz, robust, reliable, precise and completely hassle free, as the manual describes it: "Your Master-Quartz is a precision instrument designed to give you superb accuracy and reliable service. Other than a battery change required once each year no other servicing should be necessary. The movement needs no periodic cleaning. The gears and motor function without lubricants. In the rare event your Master-Quartz does need servicing, or when a battery change is necessary it should be returned only to a JLC-Jeweler."
