Rare & Rosegold: EternaMatic Golfer w/ Salmon-Dial

Eterna Matic Golfer: Automatic for the Pocket, Salmon-Dial

CHF 2,900

WHY WE LOVE IT? EternaMatic is something special: the first ball-bearing rotor-automatic, 1950s. And cased in a pocketwatch for the sportsman (Golfer) it is even more special. And yes, we prefer the rarest configuration: the solid 18K-rosegold top-version with salmon-dial for optical & haptical reasons.

This exceptional example was made in 1958 according to our books and notes -- see the advertisement back then: USD75 for the steel example and USD350 for the solid gold icon. It seems to be unpolished, it was serviced and is running precise & reliable. The Patek Golfers are known and loved and one has to admit: the Eterna Golfers are even more special. Indeed, in a similar high-quality case with superb finishing and being an automatic with a look-through window -- because the EternaMatic-automatic was something innovative & horological important.
