WHY WE LOVE IT? Because the ref5378 is an outstanding AP and in this hobnail-finishing creating an optical presence like just a few others -- quite rare and in high quality as you expect it from Audemars Piguet. Besides this, it is one of the earliest cal2121 -- the popular base cal2120 is made since 1968.
This beauty was made in 1969 or 1970 according to our books and research and is still in beautiful condition & appearance: a very rare Clous-de-Paris- / Hobnail-decorated AP Jumbo-Ellipse with the well known and celebrated cal2121 (serviced) -- the cal2120 with date-mechanism. We decided to add a linen-strap to it, which holds the original gold-plated AW-buckle on the other side.
