EmailWHY WE LOVE IT? A rectangular Gondole / Cioccolatone is always something special as these were not made in comparable numbers as the more usual round / ellipsoid shapes -- and in this, obviously unpolished and all-original condition and (approx) 65y old simply outstanding.
The watch has developed a fine and honey-gold patinae on the original 18K-buckle (AP Co-stamped) and on the 18K-case, which was made by the Genevan artisans of Wenger SA for Audemars Piguet (Poincon de Maitre Key[1]); furthermore it comes with its (fitted) box and its original AP-strap & -buckle. The thin mechanical (manual-winding) Audemars Piguet cal2003 is a masterpiece and running reliable & precise after our service. It is the heart of this jewel and allows a watch of just 4.1mm-thickness: ultra-thin, rare & vintage AP.
