White & Yellow Gold Quantieme Perpetuel, Full Set

Audemars Piguet Bi-Color Quantieme Perpetual: White & Yellow Gold, Full Set

Sold

This is a rare and unusual AP with octagonal case, integrated bracelet in white & yellow gold made in the early 1980s. The bi-color integrated bracelet is made of dozens of links and is truly a piece of art and the thin Royal Oak-reminding octo-case is perfectly hiding the complexity of the movement inside.

The AP QP was introduced in late 1970s and was made in small quantities all the time. However, the yellow and rose gold versions with leather bracelet of this line are the bread and butter timepieces of this series, while the ones made of platinum or with integrated bracelet were the top-of the line pieces of art. And especially this unusual one with octagonal case: priced more than double the price of the standard rose or yellow gold version on a leather strap and priced the same like the platinum version with skeletonized dial in early 1980s: approx USD 75'000 in todays dollar value.

This vintage AP-piece is in almost perfect condition and was fully serviced by AP, Switzerland earlier this year and thus has a full standing guarantee by AP. But not only it is in very good condition but also comes as a full set with box, papers and even a solar-powered winder and VHS video cassette with manual -- 1980s everywhere.
