Piaget Polo -- made by Piaget from 1979 until early 1990s and simply an icon. This is such an beautiful, well balanced watch, that simply stands out from the steel-blue-dial 08/15 timepiece in so many aspects:

• it is a characteristic and well defined watch -- an icon;
• it is unmistakable and a brave watch -- Yves Piaget took some serious risk bringing such an deviation from the norm;
• it is made of gold, white or yellow but gold -- always;
• heavy but fantastic balanced and comfortable to wear;
• rugged and advertised as the ultimate sportswatch;
• it has an integrated bracelet and is a sculptural product of art;
• it is versatile like just a few watches: stone dials, diamonds, white or yellow and different sizes and shapes;
• it has a rich history of being a jet-set watch and THE watch in the 1980s;
• it is hand-made: link by link was carved from 18K gold blocks from virtuoso goldsmiths in La Côte-aux-Fées;

So, a lot of aspects many watches want to stand for, but simply dont.
