Very Rare: 18K White Gold Blue Sapphire Set Tiffany Pocket Watch

Tiffany 1922 Tiffany White Gold Sapphire Set Pocket Watch, Tissot et Fils

Sold

Historical and rare: White Gold Pocket watch sold by Tiffany housing a Ch. F. Tissot & Fils high quality movement -- Tiffany never made own movements, so they always had to use 3rd party mechanics. The serial number dates this gem to 1922. As the use of white gold started 1912 this is one of the first and one of just a few pocket watches made in this clear alloy.

The flank of this solid white gold pocket watch is perfectly and originally set with high quality blue sapphires in baguette cut. The stirrup flank is set with small sapphires, too -- WOW!

The minimalistic designed dial is decorated by the applied and hand-made Breguet numbers. A sign of an absolutely high-class timepiece.

The condition is good / very good and it is further rarefied by the fact the watch case is made of 18K white gold -- yellow gold was usual back then and white gold a rare occurence.
