Gubelin, Lucerne: Fine & Thin Dress Watch
Gubelin Extra-Plat Platinum PocketWatch, Lucerne
CHF 4,100
Platinum & extra-plat by Gubelin, Lucerne. Made in the (approx) 1910s in a presumably unpolished platinum case, housing a high-class manual winding Gubelin-caliber (fine perlage & finishing, 6 adjustments, 16 jewels). The total watch including the domed mineral-glass measures less than 6mm on its "thickest" point: ultra-thin in the 1920s (approx).
The silvered-dial darkened from oxidation, esp on the right side and on the outer (more fresh oxygen), but is all original; same as the blued hands.
The watch was professionally serviced and is running precise and reliable even as a centenaire. The serial-number of 14'8XX is identical on case and movement.
