The most important electric (1958, left) and the most important electronic watch (1960, right) both look similar. I mentioned several times, why I think the LIP Cosmic (18K-gold, left) is not only the true "Prestige de la France" but also one of the most important and influential watches. Especially here: *klikk. And now it seems we have to add one more point to the list as the case-shape and design of the Bulova Accutron in 18K-yellowgold (rare) is too similar to be an accident: the first electronic watch (cal214 Accutron) on the right is definitely an homage to the LIP and one of the first as well, made in 1960 (!sic).
As you know, Bulova was inspired by LIP and their separate battery-compartment and the time-setting crown on the caseback, too. Two icons and not only important but rare & endangered horological milestones. Each of these two watches is relevant / important and has its place in the halls of horology but both next to each other is something truly special and makes a collection probably unique.
