To describe this watch is not easy and photos cannot do justice to the dynamic dial, but I try to put it this way: The Seiko 3883-7000 Superior with Morpho-Dial, presented end of 1974 gives a good impression why some called it Quartz-Crisis in Switzerland.

Not only in design and quality a #horologicalMilestone but also in its accuracy it was Superior: the Seiko cal38 "Sampachi-Quartz" with temperature-compensation by an analog thermistor-capacitor allowed to reach & guarantee (!sic) <=2s deviation per month (!sic, per month).
