Rolex Queen Midas

The 1st example of this iconic female equivalent of the King Midas is probably the most impressive one: Made in no more than 50 examples between 1961 and 1963 and weighting exactly the same as the male counterpart, while being smaller but thicker: sooo feminine and the heaviest Ladies-Rolex until today.

Designed by Gerald Genta in 1961, right when Gilbert Albert designed the asymmetric Patek Philippe watches and Audemars Piguet published its two popular asymmetric models (1961) and six years before Cartier presented the asymmetric Crash (1967).
